The sidewalks of Adana are decorated with orange trees. When
April comes, the streets of Adana are filled with the perfume scent of orange
flowers in the city. With the initiative of Ali Haydar Bozkurt, the first
street carnival of Turkey, the Orange Blossom Carnival, was started on April
13, 2012, with the slogan in Adana in April.
The Orange Blossom Carnival continues to grow every day with
the adoption of the carnival, which is shaped on the basis of volunteerism,
supported by local governments, NGOs, media and famous artists, as well as the
people of Adana. The costumes prepared during the carnival cortege take their
place among the unforgettable moments with the performances of the dancers and
the enthusiasm of the public.
In the street carnival that takes place in April every year,
stands where the handicrafts made by the people are exhibited, concerts,
exhibitions and various shows are held.
